Homestay
This option is generally preferred and is ideal for
those students interested in gaining first-hand experience of South African
family life. Students have the added advantage of being able to practise their English
after school hours with their hosts. Students are included in their host’s
daily activities and are treated as members of the family.

Communal House / Shared Accommodation

This entails living in a communal house or apartment
with other foreign or local students or young professionals. This is an ideal
option for the independent student who would like to be integrated into
Capetonian society. This option does not include meals, laundry, electricity,
phone and cleaning services.

Youth Hostels:

This option is suitable for young people
wishing to meet other travelers. The friendly staff assists with the booking of
tours and recommending places to visit. Room choices include dormitory, singe
